Writing Task for my students in Administration and Finance

Hello there!

First of all I would like to welcome you to my blog. As you can see, other students in this school and also from other schools where I have worked take part of this tool, my blog.

I created it some years ago in order to have a place where you could upload your writings, comment on the things I upload and mainly share experiences and ideas which arise when learning and practising English as a foreign language.

It is a pleasure for me to invite you to read, write, share and comment on anything you may find interesting. I just hope you enjoy your visits and be sure your ideas and suggestions are absolutely welcome.

I look forward to reading your first task: an email introducing yourself to the staff working in your new company. Remember there is a sample of it in your book.

Let us commemorate World Teachers Day

Hi there!

As you may know, today is World Teachers Day. Why? Well, I guess that is because as many other institutions, rights, inventions... there is a need to remind people that us teachers are here and even sometimes we are here for a reason: to teach (and learn).

Being a teacher (as long as you love what you do) has been a pleasure for the last 10 years in public schools and I hope there are also good or even better years to come wherever I go.

That's all for now. Click here and enjoy the TALK.

Is this none of your business???

My dear students and followers, here I am again to bring you a link to a piece of news about economics.

By the way, are you sure you know the difference between 'economic' and 'economical'? If the answer is no, then you should do some research to solve it.

Well, here you are the link I mentioned before. I hope you like it. British economy.

A new museum which is worth visiting

Click on the link below and get ready to learn about the influence of African American people in the History of the USA.

Opening of the African American Museum in Washington

By the way, at the bottom of the page you can also see a link to the Final State of the Union speech by Obama. Good practise for your listening skills.

I hope you like it.

too young or just because she is a woman?

Here you are the first link to an interesting piece of news from The Guardian.

I believe it is worth reading so that you realise women can do jobs which are thought to be for men and even to do so when they are in their twenties.

Please click  to enjoy The youngest captain in the world

Leave a comment after reading, please!

Welcome from IES Escolas Proval

Hi there!

Long time no see! Yes, you are absolutely right. It seemed as if I was not going to write here again. No way.

Another year starts and here I am determined to take my blog back to be in touch with you and the news related to English and the culture which surrounds this lovely language.

As always, you are more than welcome to comment on my posts, make suggestions, give responsible opinions...

I look forward to seeing you around!

Hugs
