  12. Dear Tom,
It was great to hear from you. The life in Spain is much more different than the life in Dublin. We have different habbits , for instance , you have dinner at 7 p.m and we have dinner at 10 p.m.

You know that I´m from a town in Spain called O Barco de Valdeorras. I´ve got one older brother, who is 21 years old. My father is quite fond of bicycle and every Sunday my brother, my father and me go for a stroll with them. In this town, it´s very hot but luckily, there is one river where we can swim. In fact, last summer we spent a lot of time having fun there.

Why Dublin? I want to improve my English because next year I´m going to study in London. Hopefully, this trip to Dublin will help me.

Write back soon and tell more about you.

    Take care,
    Marta :)

I´m very happy to receive your messages. How about living in Canadá?. We haven´t talked in a long time, I´ll set you to the day.

As you Know, I´ve lived in Galicia for a few years with my mother, my father, my sister Sara that is older than me and my new brother Dilan that it’s a baby. My family isn’t very involved in music except my grandfather and me. He plays the guitar and I sing, we´re both passionate about music. Grandma loves to see her grandchildren doing that they like, as Sara also dances and makes theater.

We´ll be moving to Canadá! Why there? We moved there because Sara is going to make her first film as an actress there, besides, I´ve been contacted by a music producer to make a record.

I hope you´ll be happy with this notice, see you soon.

  18. Hi Hannah:

I'm writing this because I want you to know who am I so here goes.

As you already know, I'm from Spain, I have an older brother , I've never been in London and I think this is a quite good opportunity to improve my English and visit this amazing city. On my free time I used to have rhythmic gymnastics lessons but now I prefer doing other kinds of sports such as tennis or badminton. Unfortunately the previous year I haven't enough time to play because I was very busy.

I'm hopeful that this year I'm going to learn a lot like other years because I also had enjoyed a great time in others exchange years . Moreover this experience probably would make me more self-dependent.

I was wondering if you could send me a response telling me a bit more about yourself.

    See you soon

    Eva

  20. Yo Hosuh!

It´s been a while since the last time u sent me an e-mail, pal. How´s it going? Sflr I´d a lot of things to do but now ima answer all your doubts and shits.
About the first question u asked me: yeah, my m8 Hagen and I have to live with the same person in NY, like we were too many people in class so, unfortunately we´re sharing a girl named Anne rn. It´s not a problem, u now? But we´re worried about her, so many stuff to do in a short period of time, my head is banging me all the day with that.
In the last conversation I´d with her she was like w00t all the time. I´ve a lot of things in common with her luckily, she´s such a beautiful bean, damn. She also likes watching memes a bit, not like an obsesive hobby going ham, just to spend time during her breaks.
Cutting to the chase and answering your principal question. Why? Well, dunno. You know that I love going abroad and visiting new places, creating new moments with new pople... that cheessy things, but in the other hand I´m worried about my future and English is a good tool if you want a job. You should be an exchange student too.
I´ll be studying at this hour tomorrow btw. Ima gonna sleep, buddy. If u wanna sent me another e-mail telling me more things about the crickety crackity situation you had, it wouldn´t be a bother.

For everything you need, your chucklesome friend,
    Noa
P.S: NY isn´t as dark as it says in "Poeta en Nueva York" all people there are fricking hilarious.

  21. Heya Kelly!

Howya doin? I’m kinda excited ‘cause of the trip, even though there’s still a month to go. Anyway, u asked me ‘bout myself so here’s everything u wanted to know.

Now that we’re in Autumn my family and I often go collecting mushrooms and, also, we did our wine grape harvest. Those two weeks were really exhausting, but also funny! Although the weather back then was really nice, now it’s cold and wet but I kinda like it this way.

Why did I choose London? Well, first of all ‘cause I’d like to improve my pronunciation and speaking skills. I’m sorta shy and quite insecure, so this probably will help me to speak English fluently face to face without panicking.

I think this is it. If there’s smth u wanna know just say it. Btw, I’d also like to know more ‘bout u.
    See y’all in a month,

    IriaRV

It was great to hear from you. I’m sure that you want to know things about me . I’m going to tell you:
As you know , I’m from a little village , in north-west of Spain, whose name is Vilamartin . I have got two sisters and one brother. My parents are very skillful like me hahahaha, you’d love to meet them. I have been living with them for 16 years . When I was a child I used to play football with other boys in my village, but one day I decided that I had spent too much time with them , so at this moment I’m practicing a new sport : basketball and I love it!

You have asked me why I had chosen London . For one reason : I have never been there before and I want to improve my English ( I don’t know speak very well) because I’ll need to speak fluently. By the way, did you know? Fortunately I’m visiting Madrid next month . If you want , I can send you some photos!

I’m quite curious, so I would like you to tell me more about you!

See you in two months ! Have a good day baby!

You have asked me why I have chosen Verona. The reason is that I want to learn italian to be able to speak it fluently because languages are very important and the more the better.
Since I was a little girl I used to see the Eurovision contest and I’ve always liked Italian singers so I decided to choose Italy. I'm sure Italian will be easy for me to learn because languages are one of my passions. I’m going there this summer and I’m enthusiastic!!!

I want to tell you some things about my life before you come to my house for the exchange to know a little bit about you.
I live in a small city in Galicia called O Barco de Valdeorras. Although it’s small, it’s so comfortable, you have a lot of things to do here and everything is quite near. I live with my parents in a cottage house. I don’t have any brothers or sisters, but I have a cat. I practice athletics, I love sport just like my parents. I play the saxophone and I take part in the band of the town.
Why I want to participate in this exchange? I want to know about other cultures and customs. I love traveling, I’ve been in many countries with my best friend. I want to improve my level of English to practice my pronunciation and increase vocabulary. Nowadays, English is necessary to find a job, I will need to speak English fluently. Surely, this exchange will help us a lot.
Could you write and tell me your project expectations and things about you? I am very excited to meet you, I think we are going to get along. Greetings and see you soon,

Why Burundi? I made the choice because I heard Burundi won Suazilandia in the World Cup Cualifier Match, so I was toughful about going there and learn a new language and culture.

Hopefully you will tell me something about yourself. Im too curious.

    See you in 3 months
    Love, Iván

  48. Hi,Mónica!

It was great to get your message. You have asked me to tell you about myself.
As you know, I am from a city in Spain called Madrid. I’ve got one sister, who is older than me. My parents are really into nature. My sister and I like it,too. The weather here is very extreme: very hot summers and very cold winters. Fortunately,we can hike in spring and in autunm if the weather isn’t very cold.

Why Canada? I chose it because it has beatiful places to visit, green landscapes and waterfalls. I have been training quite hard to go for long walks in the mountains. Since I was ten I have liked being in the nature. It makes me feel relaxed. When I arrived in this country I noticed that I had never seen such beautiful places. While I was living there I learned a lot about the language but I don’t speak it fluently. I thin I will send you some photos.
I am spending a few weeks in Madrid in two months.

    See you
    Eva

  49. Hi Rachel!
It was great to get your messages. You asked me to tell you about myself, so here goes.
As you know, I am from a little town called O Barco de Valdeorras in Galicia, Spain; I´m 16 and I live with my parents. Unfortunately, I haven´t got any brothers or sisters, but I have a cat, called Lussy. She is so beautiful and loving, but I would like to have a dog too. I´m doing high school arts, and I´m a little bit terrified because it´s difficult, but I hope than i can do it pretty well and get good marks. In my free time I love drawing, reading or doing some sport. In fact, many years ago, when I was about 10 or 11 years, I played volleyball. I also like swimming
and football, but this one, only watching it in TV.
Why New York? Well, I would like to improve my level on English, especially in my pronunciation. And, personally, I think that New York is so pretty, at least, from what I could see in photos.
Hopefully, I will spend a lot of time in this wonderful city, and I also will visit another places in USA.
I wish that you could write back and tell me more things about yourself.
    See you in three months,
    Mireia

  51. Hi Julia!

I like receiving your messages. You asked to know more about me, so here it goes.

As you know, I’m from O Barco de Valdeorras, a small town in Ourense. I have two siblings, an older sister called Ana, and a little brother called Pablo. I have a cat and a dog. I love athletics and I’ve been an athlete since I was six years old. I also love music, I play the piano and the violoncello and I take part in the band of the town.

Why did I choose Paris? I did it because I would love to visit new places. I don’t know how to speak French, so I’ll have to speak in English, which will help me to improve it. I would love to visit the most emblematic places in Paris with you, if you don’t mind to show them to me.

Could you tell me about yourself too? I would love to meet you to know what we have in common.

    See you in three months,
    Belén
