After the great discussion which arose in the morning...

I felt compelled (in a very positive sense) to broaden the limits of the forum and bring it to the online world.

It all started during our analysis of the cartoons with which lesson 6 starts: the rats which desperately chase happiness. It is supposed to be around the corner but the poor little animals keep running and turning without ever coming closer to it.

There are 4 big signs that sort of represent 4 different stages for rats (people) in their hunt for happiness:

1. Work harder

2. Earn more money

3. Buy more things

4. Keep going

and then you would find yourself back to square one.

Well, this led us to a discussion on how necessary money is and/or if the need for money is just another necessity  which society/consumerism/capitalism has made us consider as such.

Whatever your opinion is, feel free to leave a comment below.

  1. For me money isn´t the most important thing in life but it is necessary. It has good things like it is a form of exgchange, and bad things like it is distribued very unequally.
