Today in our class we talked about the main features of four basic tenses: Present Simple, Present Continuous, Past Simple and Past Continuous. Among some others, the most important are:
1. Why do these tenses receive such names?
2. What do we use them for?
3. Which time expressions tend to appear with them?
4. How do we use them in AFF, NEG and questions?
Finally we started checking the exercises on page 10 but we could only get to exercise1 sentence 2, which will be our starting point next day.
REMEMBER: If you feel insecure about these tenses, do not hesitate to read the Rules on pages 116 and 117 and do the Basic Practice.
