The sentences are perfect but the spelling of occasion is like this.

Good job, but in your second sentence you mention excuses (plural), so the pronoun at the end should be "them".

Your first sentence is right.
DeleteAs for the second, "you have spent" is needed here because you are talking about a day that has already begun but it has not finished.
Regarding the third sentence, you can choose between "stopping" or "to stop" because actions need either a gerund or an "to + infinitive".
I made a mistake here. ...or "a" "to + infinitive"
